Science paper on triplet repeats published
Triplet repeat expansions cause many human genetic diseases. Until now, no naturally occurring triplet repeat associated genetic defects were known from other multicellular species.
We have identified such a case in Arabidopsis thaliana, which provides a convenient genetic model to study the origin of such triplet expansions as well as their distribution in natural populations.
